History
1970
- Merkur was established by a merger of Merkur, Standard and Trading Enterprise Mostar.
1991
- The company has been transformed from a socially-owned one into a joint stock company; it went through several changes of name and structure.
1992-1995
- During war-time destruction, the buildings of Merkur were destroyed and almost completely devastated.
2002
- Merkur was privatized and annexed to the MIMS Group, which was followed by a reconstruction of 28 buildings destroyed during the war in Mostar and Sarajevo.
- Information-accounting system was introduced in Merkur.
2006
- A modern Shopping Center Otoka in Sarajevo was opened, which covers an area of 12,000 m².
2007
- five small corner shops were opened in Bihać,
- three small corner shops were opened in Bosanska Krupa,
- hypermarket was opened in Jelah,
- shopping center was opened in Kamenica,
- Oracle E-Business Suite system was introduced and implemented.
2008
- A modern Shopping Center in Cazin was opened, which covers an area of 3,000 m².
